A safe environment for people, vessels and operations
Safety is fundamental to everyday life at Pine Harbour Marina. Clear rules, well-maintained infrastructure and active marina management help minimise risk and ensure the marina remains a safe place to berth, work and visit.
General Safety & Conduct
- Must obey all marina rules and staff instructions at all times.
- No fishing, swimming, diving, or underwater work in the marina waters — these are safety risks around pontoons and boats.
- Children must be supervised by adults while in the marina.
- Dogs must be restrained — an important rule for both animal and human safety.
- No pollution, including discharge of rubbish, sewage, oil, fuel or other hazardous materials into the marina water.
- Firefighting equipment should only be used for actual fire emergencies.
- Flammable materials/fuels are restricted; you can only refuel at the designated fuel jetty.
- Vessels must not be manoeuvred to create danger or inconvenience to others.
- Your vessel must be kept in good and safe repair.
- Electrical leads and appliances used in the marina must comply with relevant safety standards.
- Vehicles on the marina property must obey parking and site speed limits (e.g., 20 kph).
Hardstand & Boat Lifting Safety Procedures
- Keep the hardstand and surrounding area tidy — avoid slips, trips, or storage hazards.
- Dispose of paints, chemicals, batteries, LPG, flares and other hazardous materials responsibly — these cannot be left on site.
- No work between sunset and 7 am — this helps ensure safety when lighting and supervision are limited.
- Report serious injuries, accidents, spills, damage or hazards immediately to marina management.
- Heavy lifts or stepping/unstipping of masts require notification and supervision.
- Ensure contractors and visitors on your vessel have been inducted and follow safe practices.
From vessel movements and fuel handling to pedestrian safety and on-site conduct, our marina operates under defined safety standards designed to protect people, boats and facilities.
